Description
The Bismarck and the Tirpitz were the two largest battleships in the Second World War. The BismarckThe Bismarck was next to the Tirpitz the largest battleship in World War II. The 251m long ship was put into service on August 24, 1940. After completing the training trips, she took part in the Rhine exercise company. On May 24th, 1941 she sank the British battle cruiser HMS Hood in a sea battle off Greenland. Then the Bismarck, damaged at the bow, set course for a French port. During the pursuit by British ships and aircraft, the ship was shot down on May 27, 1941 and sank in the Atlantic.
