Two vintage PHILCO T2028/2N2398 PNP MADT germanium transistors NOS in original sealed packaging.
An improved transistor type developed by Philco using the precision etch process was the Micro Alloy Diffused-base Transistor (MADT). Using the semiconductor diffusion techniques originally developed at Bell Labs, Philco MADT transistors were able to perform at extremely high frequencies, and were well suited for switching and VHF applications. Philco MADT types were widely used in 1950s and 1960s computer, military and industrial switching and high frequency applications.
