    Description

    The owner of this reel came to see me the other day.
    He kept it still in the original box, and unused.
    It is not one of these 5500C Sunset Orange manufactured by ABU.
    I have built the reel in 2004. The prototype models that I was working at that time were posted on the Japanese Magazine in 2003 as in the last picture.
    At that time, I had a permission to create, and sell these reels. The sticker on the package was approved by Pure Fishing Headquarters in Iowa (owned by Berkley at that time.)  Eventually the permission was changed into a contract until it was expired in 2017 when Pure Fishing was sold to another owner.
    The owner of the reel wanted to have it converted into CDL.
    As the orange CDL was posted on the magazine as a part of future models.
    However, I have chosen a counterbalance handle, and a mirror finish spool caps for this reel.
    I plated the crest in 24K gold instead of cheap anodize processing.
    As a result of conversion, this reel became one of a kind item.
