Up on the auction block is a very cool all original mid to late 1940's Wilson model WR F1010 leather football! In the 1940's into the early 1950's, the model WR was Wilson's top of line football. We included a scan (for reference only) from a 1940 Wilson ad showing the new model WR football. This ball looks to us to be a later 40's possibly early 50's model.
As the photos show, the ball is a veteran of many gridiron battles. It has surface wear through out and some staining but is still solid and holding up great (see all photos for condition).
The patina is 100% worn original. No dyes, colored polishes, or coloring of any kind used. The ball has a great look and nice shine. It has the original laces and original bladder that still holds full pressure! The Wilson makers logo is worn but still readable as is the WR F1010 model # and NEW GRIP TITE on the other side of the ball (see close-up).
Wood display stand is not included.
