Description
I am pleased to offer a stunning vintage  cup and saucer set made by Aynsley, England
Beautiful and elegant large pink  rose bouquet floral pattern on the cup interior
The primary exterior color is a dusty rose pink with gold filigree garland
This is the OBAN shape with fluted edges and slight vertical ribbed body and footed cup base
Dates from 1952
Likely a cabinet  set as it appears to have been little if ever used
Mint condition with no chips, cracks, staining, other damage or restoration on either cup or saucer
No wear to the floral transfer or to the pink body color
;  one tiny pin prick of skipped pink paint on the saucer
Cup measures 2 3/8" tall at sides (2 5/8" tall to top of handle) and entire cup is 4 1/2" across including handle; saucer is 5 5/8" across
Marked with  older Aynsley crown mark in dark green with decorator squiggles 15 G in gold on cup and pattern number O1515 in gold on saucer; cup is also marked with the number 28, which indicates a production year of 1952
