    Description

This listing is for a fabulous working toaster that I hate to part with, but I don't allow myself to keep collectibles or antiques, because I get out of control with it.  I used this McGraw Electric Toastmaster model 1b8 for a month and every slice came out perfect.  The toaster starts clicking when you push the bakelite lever down, and the clicking is slow for a whitle then it begins to speed up as the toaster heats and the bread toasts, ending with a wild flurry of clicks at the end.  It always popped up for me, which is good, because I will burn the toast for sure if the toaster doesn't pop up - I can never remember to watch it, but this one is very entertaining with the clicks, and I always would listed as I cooked the other stuff. The handles and bottom rim are brown bakelite, industrial bakelite like old telephones are made from.  The chrome is designed with high Art Deco lines and the toaster is really a good looking one. The cord has been replaces with a heavy duty one that meets code.  The body is in very good condition, gleaming with out any dents of dings.  Pretty much free of scratches, too.   The bottom labels show heat exposure.  I would rate the overall condition as very good to excellent.  I think the cord is a bit too long, but it doesn't affect the flow of current, as it couldn't have worked better for me.  I have other kitchen stuff listed in my store.   All of my items were found in estate sales and cleanouts on Cape Cod last summer.  None of the items have been touched by the public since then, just stored in totes.  Anything purchased in the last two months has been thoroughly washed.  I am in a low risk area this winter and I am observing all precautions for virus protection.
I use Standard Mail, First Class Mail, and Media Mail whenever possible to save you money on shipping, and I will combine items in the same box to save you money on shipping. I use foam peanuts and bubble wrap when necessary, and I use recycled products most of the time, including sturdy used cardboard boxes when I can find them.  This package will be shipped by Standard Mail.   I sell quite a bit on eBay and I get a discount for Priority Mail, especially on smaller parcels and packages going to the NE quarter of the country, so don't be surprised if it comes Priority - the discount usually makes the price the same as Standard Mail.  That way it's insured and faster, too.
