Description
This is a big, heavy toaster, at 12 lbs 11 oz. It measures about 9.5" x 8.5" x 6.25, not including the knobs, plug, etc. The latest patent date on the back side was registered with the US Patent office in 1939. This is a project toaster, if you want to use it, or a nice display piece.
This toaster must have been produced for use in another country, because the voltage listed on the tag is 220V, and US voltage is 120V.
The plug fits USA outlets. I tried it out before I noticed the voltage tag, and it doesn't get hot enough to make toast. It comes out more like stale bread. It does seem to be functional, but it wasn't getting enough power to heat up all the way. I see that you can order step up voltage converters or transformers for foreign travel. One of those might work here. Not really sure if this plug would work for that, or if you'd need to replace the plug with a foreign one. This plug looks like a USA plug. It's definitely old. The power cord is split at the base of the toaster anyway. See close-up picture. The toaster has lots of wear and tear. The left side has big scratches. The front has some scratches near the lighter/darker dial. There are other scratches on the surfaces too. There are tiny paint splatters on the surfaces. One front foot is missing the outer piece. Sometimes it wobbles. There is some rust in places. It could stand to be cleaned inside. Sells as is. I might have missed something here. No returns. Please note that I have a three business day handling time.
