Vintage Meisselbach “Neptune” Freespool Circa 1915 VG+ Bait Caster. Part of my 55 year collection. All features of this reel work properly. Spool is straight, spins freely. Handle and knob spins easily also. Low serial number as indicated in picture. Reel has automatic drag clutch feature with push of button. One button takedown and push button free spool. To engage reel after free spool mode, you simply pull handle toward the back of the reel. A cool feature in its day and still works flawlessly. Lightly used but has one hairline crack as shown in last picture. It has no effect on the operation of the reel. When disassembled for cleaning I put pressure on it to see if it was weak and it didn’t move. Priced correctly due to flaw. J
